Arcol is now supplying Xicon with 1% tolerance aluminum
housed resistors in values of 1.0 ohms or greater.

Mousers stock of Xicon/Arcol aluminum housed resistors in
5% tolerance for values of 1.0 ohms or greater have been
reduced in price and are limited to stock on hand.  Future
stock will be 1% tolerance for these values.

The 1% tolerance parts are form, fit, and function
replacements for the 5% part.

A special encapsulation material and process allow for high insulation levels with minimal thermal resistance at the element. Ohmite HS Aluminum Housed Power Resistors have resistance values of R005 to 100KΩ, power ratings up to 600W, tolerance from 1% to 10%, and a high power-to-volume ratio.
