Bourn's variable resistor is built with three terminals; two are connected to the resistive element, while the third terminal is connected to an adjustable wiper. Bourns Trimpot Trimming Potentiometers are designed to endure the rigorous conditions of manufacturing environments. This rugged design is achieved by offering sealed terminals that are manufactured to withstand high soldering temperatures and thermal shock from typical board washing, helping to prevent moisture ingress.
