Infineon Technologies PSOC™ Control C3 Main Line Microcontrollers
Infineon Technologies PSOC™ Control C3 Main Line Microcontrollers (MCUs) offer ideal performance for high-real-time control capability. This is ideal for demanding applications that may require dual-motor drive plus Power Factor Correction (PFC), high efficiency, and high power density in Switched-Mode Power Supplies (SMPS). It is also a good choice for digital power or any application that requires Wide Band Gap (WBG) switches, such as SiC or GaN, for maximum system efficiency and power density.
The Main Line sub-family of PSOC Control C3 microcontrollers supports high-performance motor-drive and power implementations.
C3M5/C3M6 For Motor Control
The PSOC Control C3M5/C3M6 is designed for motor control applications. The C3M5 is ideal for dual-motor drive plus Power Factor Correction (PFC) and Wide Band Gap (WBG) switches (i.e., SiC or GaN) for maximum system efficiency and power density. The C3M6, with additional analog and digital peripherals, including OpAmps, a 12-bit DAC, and 2x Encoder/Hall/IF for sensored motors, supports up to four motors.
C3P5/C3P6 For Power Conversion
The Infineon Technologies PSOC Control C3P5/C3P6 is designed for power conversion applications. The C3P5 integrates advanced real-time analog peripherals and a digital feature set to support primary power conversion stages. The C3P6 includes a 3p3z filter accelerator and additional analog and digital peripherals to support secondary power conversion or complex topologies.
C3P6 For General-Purpose
The PSOC Control C3P6 is designed for general-purpose applications. The C3P6 supports USB-FS and I3C, which is ideal for housekeeping. PSA-L3 and PQC are ideal for data centers, PCIe, and other applications.
