Littelfuse NSM20 Surface-Mount Metal Oxide Varistors (MOV)
Littelfuse NSM20 Surface-Mount Metal Oxide Varistors (MOVs) offer ultra-high surge-current handling (40 surges at 8kV/4kA) to absorb excess energy from transient overvoltage surges. These varistors feature a 12kA (single-pulse, 8/20µs) peak surge current rating (Imax), and a 6kA (15 pulses, 8/20µs) nominal discharge current (In). The NSM20 varistors are constructed with an MOV disc and tin-plated terminals within a polymer molding package. These MOVs are fully qualified for lead-free soldering and are compatible with both reflow and wave soldering processes. Typical applications include electricity power storage systems, EV on-board chargers, EV off-board charging equipment, and general electronic and electrical products requiring transient overvoltage protection.
