Current Sense Resistors

Ohmite Current Sense Resistors are available in many popular sizes and packages. These resistors are used to monitor current in a circuit via a voltage drop and control circuit. Current sense resistors are characterized by low values to minimize power consumption. Ohmite produces current sense resistors with TCR values as low as 40ppm, resistance as low as 0.0005Ω, tolerances down to 0.5%, and a wide range of mounting options from SMD to SOT-227 heat sinkable. Power dissipation ranges from 0.125W to 100W in the SOT package.

WL Miniature Wirewound Current Resistors

Ohmite WL Series Miniature Wirewound Current Sense Resistors offer ultra-low ohmic values for current sensing applications and are constructed of the highest quality standard (96% Alumina) ceramic core. With very low inductance (<1nH at 1MHz test), the WL Series features a resistance range from 0.010Ω to 0.100Ω. The miniature dimensions of the Ohmite WL Series Wirewound Current Sense Resistors provide a better power-to-dimension ratio.
