The USB 3.0 field bus has the same form and fit as the standard USB 2.0 but will reach 10x the speeds transmitting data at up to 5Gb/s. This system is sealed against fluids and dust (IP68) and offers improved EMI protection. It also resists shock, vibration, and traction. The metallic plug is connected into a receptacle, using a tri-start thread coupling mechanism (MIL-DTL-38999 series III type) with an anti-decoupling device for high vibration applications.
