These LEDs provide flexibility for growers with features like small form factors, high efficiency, and long life. These LEDs are dimmable, controllable, instant-on when needed, and can easily be set in cycles that promote healthy plant growth. High-efficiency luminaires minimize energy consumption, critical during exploding energy costs and energy-saving constraints. Best-in-class illumination uniformity allows for the placement of luminaires closer to the crops and saves energy compared to traditional luminaires with secondary optics. The lowest possible overall system cost is enabled using the highest power LEDs, reducing the required LEDs per square meter. This is supported by unmatched illumination uniformity for luminaires without the need for secondary optics and long-life performance. An overdrive capability of up to twice the nominal power class and low thermal resistance of the ams OSRAM LEDs provide maximum design flexibility at optimum efficacy.
