Cirrus Logic CDB43131K Evaluation Kit

Cirrus Logic CDB43131K Evaluation Kit is a dedicated platform for testing and evaluating the CS43131 high-performance DACs. This evaluation kit consists of an evaluation board, a USB cable, and a High Dynamic Range (HDR) measurement board (CDB-HDR-MEAS). The CDB43131 evaluation board utilizes five buffers with direction control to direct the clock from the digital input sources to/from the CS43131 Device Under Test (DUT). This evaluation board uses the J42 pin that provides an I²C interface to connect a host adapter to support communication with a smart codec. The smart codec makes it possible to perform listening tests with various equalizer filters based on the impedance of the attached headphone.

The CDB43131K evaluation kit features USB audio module capability, WISCE™ I²C based software control, analog and S/PDIF audio input, and configurable serial audio headers. The CDB-HDR-MEAS board is an ultralow-noise preamplifier circuit with 13.66dB of gain. This board measures the very low HDR of the CS43131 device. The CDB-HDR-MEAS board preserves the dynamic range of the input signal while amplifying the input signal. This helps to overcome noise floor limitations of the audio analyzer.
