Mikroe IR Sense 7 Click

Mikroe IR Sense 7 Click is a compact add-on board for non-contact infrared temperature measurement of objects and ambient conditions in thermally sensitive embedded systems. The board is based on the Melexis MLX90637, an AEC-Q100-qualified far-infrared temperature sensor designed for accurate object and ambient temperature monitoring in demanding environments.

The MLX90637 uses a thermopile sensing element with an amplified, digitized output, while factory-calibration constants stored in internal EEPROM support accurate external temperature calculation via I2C-accessible conversion data. The Mikroe IR Sense 7 Click also integrates digital filtering, RAM data storage, an ambient measurement sensor, and an optical filter with a 2μm to 20μm pass band for improved light immunity and stable infrared sensing.

The board is ideal for high-precision non-contact temperature measurements, HVAC systems, EV inverter and motor temperature monitoring, and other thermal monitoring applications. The board is fully compatible with the mikroBUS socket standard and adds ClickID automatic board detection, along with Click Snap flexibility, for easier implementation.
