Honeywell BPS Battery Safety Pressure Sensors

Honeywell BPS Battery Safety Pressure Sensors are designed to detect and report thermal runaway events in lithium-ion battery packs. These sensors use a combination of MEMS and ASIC technologies to detect pressure changes in the battery packs of electric vehicles and Energy Storage Systems (ESS). The detected value is transmitted to the Battery Management System (BMS) using Controller Area Network (CAN) communication. The BPS battery safety pressure sensors measures from 50kPa to 300kPa absolute pressure. These sensors are automotive-qualified and RoHS-compliant. Typical applications include battery pack systems for electric vehicles and energy.

The BPS battery safety pressure sensors function in two operating modes, including ECO mode and continuous mode.
