
Coherent FTLF8538P5BCx 25GBASE-SR SFP+ Transceivers
Coherent FTLF8538P5BCx 25GBASE-SR SFP+ Transceivers are designed for use in 25Gb/s data rate over multimode fiber. These transceivers feature a hot-plugged SFP+ footprint and a metal enclosure for low EMI. Based on an 850nm Oxide VCSEL (Vertical-Cavity Surface-Emitting Laser) transmitter, the Coherent FTLF8538P5BCx SFP+ Transceivers operate from a single 3.3V power supply and have a maximum 1.2W power consumption.
The FTLF8538P5BCx SFP+ Transceivers include an enhanced digital diagnostic monitoring interface that allows real-time access to device operating parameters such as transceiver temperature, laser bias current, transmitted optical power, received optical power, and transceiver supply voltage. The operating and diagnostics information is monitored and reported by a Digital Diagnostics Transceiver Controller (DDTC) inside the transceiver, which is accessed through a 2-wire serial interface.
The single-rate FTLF8538P5BCL Transceiver offers 25GbE coverage only, while the dual-rate FTLF8538P5BCV Transceiver provides both 25GbE and 10GbE coverage.
Coherent FTLF8538P5BCx 25GBASE-SR SFP+ Transceivers are compliant to IEEE802.3by, SFF-8472 Rev 12.2 and SFF-8402, and compatible with SFF-8432 and applicable portions of SFF-8431 Rev. 4.1. These transceiver modules are Class 1 laser eye safety compliant per IEC 60825-1.
