Ohmite TAP600 Heat Sinkable Planar Resistors

Ohmite TAP600 Heat Sinkable Planar Resistors are designed for liquid or air-cooled heat sink systems. These planar resistors deliver 600W of reliable power. The TAP600 resistors feature less than 80nH inductance, 14mm minimum air distance, and 10GΩ minimum insulation resistance at 500V. Typical applications include variable speed drives, power supplies, robotics, and motor control.

Power Rating

The Ohmite TAP600W resistors provide 600W at +70°C heat sink or +85°C bottom case temperature. This value is only valid by using thermal conduction to the heat sink Rth -cs<0.025°C/W. The value can be reached by using a thermal transfer compound with a heat conductivity of 1w/mK. The flatness of the cooling plate must be better than 0.05mm overall. The roughness of the surface should not exceed 6.4μm.
