Silicon Labs EFM32 Tiny Gecko 32-bit microcontrollers (MCUs) provide a combination of unmatched performance and ultralow power consumption in active and sleep modes. Silicon Labs EFM32 Tiny Gecko MCUs consume down to 160µA/MHz in run mode and 900nA with a Real-Time Counter running, Brown-out, and full RAM and register retention. The low energy consumption of Tiny Gecko devices outperforms any other 8-, 16-, or 32-bit solution.The EFM32 Tiny Gecko family includes autonomous and energy-efficient peripherals, high overall chip and analog integration, and a 32-bit ARM Cortex-M3 processor. These MCUs are ideal for demanding 8-, 16-, and 32-bit energy-sensitive applications, including gas metering, energy metering, water metering, and smart metering.
The new EFM32TG11 includes a powerful and efficient 32-bit ARM® Cortex®-M0+ and provides robust security via a unique cryptographic hardware engine supporting AES, ECC, SHA, and True Random Number Generator (TRNG). The new features include a CAN bus controller, highly robust capacitive sensing, and LESENSE/PCNT enhancements for smart energy meters. These features, combined with ultra-low current active mode and short wake-up time from energy-saving modes, make EFM32TG11 microcontrollers well suited for any battery-powered application and other systems requiring high performance and low energy consumption.
