Torex Semiconductor XCL102/XCL103 Step-Up Micro DC/DC Converters

Torex XCL102/XCL103 Step-Up micro DC/DC Converters combine an inductor and control IC in one small package, minimizing PCB area space requirements. Support for applications that require an internally fixed output is allowed through a wide operating voltage range of 0.9V to 6.0V. Two controls are available, PWM (XCL102) and automatic PWM/PFM switching control (XCL103).

The devices prevent application malfunction by the CL discharge function in stand-by mode. The XCL102/XCL103 converters are ideal for wireless devices and other applications that are easily affected by noise, due to a reduction in unwanted radiation noise. Additional functions include soft-start, load disconnection, and bypass switch functions. Internal protection circuits include overcurrent limits, integral latches, and output short protection.
